AERPAW team has submitted the following paper to IEEE Aerospace Conference that highlights various different ways of how raw 4G LTE I/Q measurements from AERPAW can be used for air-to-ground channel characterization:

The submitted paper can be accessed at https://arxiv.org/pdf/2210.07433.pdf. Some representative results are provided below that show frequency and time selectivity of an LTE link with the UAV and how the coherence bandwidth changes as a function fo 3D link distance. 

LoRa Installation: AERPAW team has deployed its first LoRa gateway in its CC2 fixed node in the Centennial Campus. Additional LoRa gateways will be deployed at Lake Wheeler Field Labs in the coming months once the towers there are ready for installation. In parallel, AERPAW team has been working with Purdue University for developing software that will be used to pull, visualize, and store data from LoRa sensor nodes.

Rover Wowes: This summer the grass grew like no other summer, and our rover got stuck multiple times in the tall grass, requiring rescue efforts from the operators. The next version of the rover will likely avoid these problems.

The Ericsson smart agriculture demo showcased real-time video streaming over 5G links, allowing to determine if the current plot is overgrazed, and the cattle needs to be moved to the next pen.
