In December, the AERPAW team wrapped up its participation in the O-RAN Global PlugFest Fall 2025, a rewarding and challenging experience that ran from August through November. The PlugFest brought together operators, OTICs, and industry partners from around the world to test and integrate advanced Open RAN technologies in real-world environments.
The Fall 2025 PlugFest highlighted several advanced use cases, including AI-driven automation, network optimization, energy efficiency, security, and multi-vendor interoperability. Many scenarios were tested in live networks, with some already moving toward commercial adoption.
We would like to extend a special thank you to our OTIC lead, Mohamed Rabeek Sarbudeen, for his hard work and leadership in guiding AERPAW’s PlugFest activities. We also appreciate the continued collaboration with the O-RAN Alliance and the broader Open RAN community.
AERPAW looks forward to building on this momentum and continuing to support innovative testing and research in the Open RAN ecosystem.
