Whether you’re brand new to AERPAW or simply want to explore before running experiments on the production platform, the AERPAW Self-Paced Tutorial Portal is your hands-on training space to practice, learn, and build confidence.
This environment lets you safely experiment and familiarize yourself with AERPAW’s tools, workflows, and experiment setup process — all with the same look and feel as the production portal, but without the risk of “breaking things.”

What You Need to Know
Self-guided learning: Use the AERPAW User Manual to walk through sample experiments entirely on your own.
Temporary environment: Experiments stay active for 14 days before being automatically deleted.
Training only: Experiments here will not transfer to the AERPAW outdoor testbed or sandbox environments.
Next step: Once you’re comfortable, head over to the AERPAW Production Portal to conduct your official experiments.

AERPAW at RIoT Demo Night 2025
We’re excited to announce that the AERPAW (Advanced Wireless at NC State) team participated in the RIoT Demo Night 2025 event held on Monday, October 13 at the Raleigh Convention Center in Raleigh, NC.
RIoT Demo Night brought together more than 50 IoT, AI, and data-technology innovations from sponsors, partners, and startup alumni. It was a unique opportunity for us to connect with fellow technologists, showcase our platform capabilities, and explore collaborative opportunities across research and innovation ecosystems.
We demonstrated how AERPAW’s advanced wireless infrastructure supports drone-based experiments and autonomous systems, and engaged with researchers, industry partners, and emerging‐tech entrepreneurs to discuss project-use cases and next-gen wireless research.
Participating in RIoT Demo Night underscores our commitment to making advanced wireless research accessible, scalable, and collaborative. Events like this help us highlight how AERPAW bridges academia, industry, and government by offering a platform where innovation takes flight—literally and figuratively.
