LTE and WiFi Indoor/Outdoor Signal Strength Dataset from NC State Campus
Lead Experimenter
Gautham Reddy, North Carolina State University
Link to Dataset
The dataset contains LTE and WiFi signal strength data from various Indoor and Outdoor environments at NC State University campuses. It can be accessed at [Google Drive].
Equipment and Software Used
PawPrints Android App, Google Pixel 8 (T-Mobile), and Samsung S23 (AT&T).
Description
Signal strength indictors for LTE and WiFi networks from various Indoor and Outdoor environments were captured using the PawPrints Android Application. The corresponding Indoor and Outdoor labels are also provided for each sample. The dataset also includes other fields such as nearby LTE base stations and their signal strengths, nearby WiFi APs and their KPIs.

Representative Results
A sample script titled “DataParser.m” is included with the Dataset. It can be run to plot the time-series signal strength values of connected LTE and WiFi networks against the corresponding Environment Labels.
